The Beginning of the Pounders ...
On August 27, 1981, the Penticton Running Club was incorporated as a Society.  Since then, the Pounders have been running and training for over 40 years in the beautiful Okanagen. Hundreds of members have participated in numerous races, social events and training workouts.

A special thank you to Steve King for forming the Penticton Pounders. Steve is an accomplished distance runner and triathlete, who continues to participate in various aspects of athletics in Canada.
